Steve Nagy is a founding member of ONE Law. His practice focuses on eminent domain (condemnation) matters. He also represents clients in a wide range of real estate transactions and litigation — including purchase and sale, leasing, access and boundary conflicts, title disputes, breach of contract claims, development, renewable energy, and natural resource issues. Steve takes pride in getting to know each client's unique business and personal goals and finding the most practical path to help them get there.

Steve has over eighteen years of combined private and public sector legal experience in Colorado. He has focused primarily on eminent domain for the past decade. Before that, Steve practiced oil and gas law in the private sector and served as a Colorado Assistant Attorney General representing agencies in the Colorado Department of Natural Resources. He began his career as a transactional attorney for the Great Outdoors Colorado Trust Fund (GOCO), completing more than sixty lottery-funded acquisitions of parkland, trails, conservation easements, and water rights.

Steve is actively involved in the Colorado Bar Association's Real Estate Section, where he served on the Executive Council and chair of the Continuing Legal Education Committee. He also served as a member of legislative task forces reviewing bills related to eminent domain, landlord/tenant matters, natural resources, and record title.

When he's not practicing law, Steve is most likely on the water or at the hockey rink. An avid fly fisherman, he loves camping and fishing with his wife, children, and dogs — and volunteers with The Mayfly Project, a nonprofit that mentors children in foster care through fly fishing. He also has a passion for hockey, a love he shares with his daughter.
