Nate Osborn is a founding partner of ONE Law and an accomplished trial attorney whose practice focuses on complex real estate litigation, business disputes, real estate transactions, and other high-stakes civil matters. He represents businesses, developers, property owners, investors, title companies, lenders, and professionals throughout Colorado in matters where sophisticated legal strategy, practical judgment, and experienced advocacy are essential.
Known for his strategic approach and courtroom skill, Nate has built a practice that combines extensive trial experience with a deep understanding of complex real estate and business transactions. This dual perspective enables him to help clients not only prevail when disputes arise, but also identify legal risks, structure transactions effectively, and minimize the likelihood of future litigation.
Nate has personally tried 68 cases, giving him a level of courtroom experience that few attorneys attain. His litigation practice spans a broad range of complex matters, including commercial real estate disputes, title insurance and title defect claims, easement and access litigation, boundary disputes, eminent domain and condemnation proceedings, partnership and shareholder disputes, entity dissolutions, commercial contract litigation, professional liability claims, foreclosures, lien disputes, and other significant business conflicts. He also advises clients on sophisticated real estate transactions, development projects, acquisitions, and investment matters, allowing him to provide practical guidance informed by both litigation and transactional experience.
In addition to representing clients, Nate is frequently retained as an expert witness in cases involving real estate issues, attorney's fees, and trial-related matters. His ability to analyze complex legal disputes from both an advocate's and an expert's perspective provides valuable insight in litigation throughout Colorado.
Nate intentionally maintains a selective practice, allowing him to devote substantial attention and resources to each matter he accepts. He represents clients in cases involving significant financial exposure, important business interests, and complex legal issues where experienced counsel can materially influence the outcome. Clients value his candid advice, meticulous preparation, and commitment to developing practical, results-oriented strategies tailored to their objectives.
A recognized authority in real estate law and civil litigation, Nate is a published author and frequent lecturer on topics including real estate transactions, title insurance, easements, land use, entity structuring, litigation strategy, expert witness practice, and trial advocacy. He regularly presents continuing legal education programs for attorneys and professional organizations.
Nate has earned the AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell®, the organization's highest peer-review distinction for legal ability and professional ethics. He has also been recognized as both a Colorado Super Lawyers Rising Star and, subsequently, a Colorado Super Lawyer, honors reserved for attorneys who have demonstrated excellence within their profession.
Before entering private practice, Nate served as a Deputy District Attorney for the El Paso County District Attorney's Office, where he developed extensive courtroom experience prosecuting criminal cases and honing the trial skills that continue to define his practice today. Outside the office, Nate enjoys coaching youth basketball and spending time with his family.
